• 1873- John Hughlings Jackson diagnoses epilepsy as a discharge of the nerves
• 1885-
• Caleb's wife Thea is mistaken for another woman and killed by a jealous husband
• Summer - Two of Hammer's partners are killed in pursuit of Kid Colt. He helps defend the town of Wonderment, MT from the Nightriders. He kills Gunhawk for shooting Kid Colt in the back.
• 1886-
  • May 3rd- The workers of the McCormick Harvesting Machine Factory in Chicago strike. Police kill six men including Caleb's brother Issak
  • Geronimo surrenders. Crawford McKie and Jake Lovelace, are decorated and discharged from the army.
  • McKie and Lovelace use their prestige to rob and ravish through the West
• 1888- Caleb wounds Penfield and is trapped in a snowed-in cabin with him for five months. Penfield dies of gangrene.
• 1890- Caleb passes through Manacle, Wyoming in search of Crawford McKie and Jake Lovelace
• Luke Sommers challenges Caleb to a duel and loses
• Caleb apprehends McKie
• 1896- An old man, a retired Caleb is shot in the back by the External Absalom after Caleb refuses to duel him.
