A note about Annie's Golden Age titles: Dealing with misogyny is a major theme of Annie's Golden Age stories, particularly in the first half of her appearances. All of her stories in the Golden Age have elements of misogyny, either because of the way she is treated by the characters around her, or in the way the narrative handles her characterization. As such, I have elected to note here that all of her Golden Age stories have misogyny built into them instead of flagging every story.
Webmaster's note: Annie's appearance in Marvel Westerns: Kid Colt and the Arizona Girl simply does not hit the mark for me. In this webmaster's opinion, the book sands her down and removes the few unique traits she had and adds traits she never demonstrated in the original Golden Age stories, to the detriment of her character. A shame, as it is her only modern age appearance, but in good faith I cannot recommend it. Further information is found on the page for the title.
